Current Events

I am now in my fifth year of  graduate school in the mechanical engineering department at the University of Washington in Seattle.

I'm still working with Dr. Randal Ching at the Applied Biomechanics Laboratory. My dissertation project is a joint one with the Foot and Ankle clinic at Harborview Medical Center. I'm working with Dr. Sigvard T Hansen on the Agility total ankle. I'm almost finished gathering data, and hopefully I'll be able to defend in March.

I'm also starting on a project to define backside wear of the Agility ankle using Atomic Force Microscopy. I think it will be a good quick study.

The research I did on football equipment removal is ready to be published, hopefully it won't take to long to go through review.

I've finished building the cabin in the back yard of my house. It was quite a job but I got it done. Now all I have left is to run electricity. This is painful because I have to use different wire and conduit every 5 feet. I'm trying to figure out whether I should revamp my kitchen. I don't know if I want to spend the money if it doesn't come back to us when we sell. Plus, it might price people out of our house here in Seattle.
